Grades K-2

Practice once a week and Saturdays with occasional "play days" with other programs on Saturdays. Grades K-2 will be run in a clinic format and should not order a uniform. They will receive a t-shirt as part of their registration fee.

Saturday “Game Play Days” Mid September-October (travel required)

All Practices will begin mid/late August.

Grades 3-9

Practice twice per week with games generally once per week on Sundays. Grades 5-8 only are evaluated and divided into equal teams.

MYFHL League Games Sept 6 thru October (Sunday games)(9th graders not playing for HS team are eligible to play pending team space and pre-registration)

All Practices will begin mid/late August.

All evaluations are on the Hereford High Turf.  

Home games and practices will be held at Genesee Valley. Away games will require travel to other areas of Baltimore County, Harford County, Carroll County and Howard County. Practice days and times are contingent on the availability of coaches and field space.

We are part of the Maryland Youth Field Hockey League.

All Star Team (7/8 Grades)

Selection to the 7-8 grade All Star Team is via tryout process and requires priority commitment to practices and games for BOTH Rec and All Star team. All Star Team games are Sunday AM.

Age Groups 

Age group is determined by the grade you are entering Fall 2015.
Clinic - K, 1st and 2nd grade
3/4: 3rd and 4th grade
5/6: 5th and 6th grade
7/8: 7th and 8th grade
9th grade players who are not playing on a high school team are also eligible for 7/8 group
